When you use EkoVendy we may collect:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number.
• Store information (vendors): store name, description, bank account details for payouts.
• Order information (buyers): name, email, phone, delivery address, products purchased.
• Payment information: transactions are processed by Paystack. EkoVendy does not store card numbers or payment credentials.
• Usage data: pages visited, browser type, device type, IP address.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To process and fulfil orders.
• To send order confirmations, dispatch notifications, and payout receipts.
• To provide account access and support.
• To detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To improve the platform based on usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only where necessary:

• Vendors receive buyer name, email, and phone for the purpose of fulfilling an order.
• Paystack receives payment and identity data to process transactions.
• Cloudinary stores product and store images you upload.
• Resend delivers transactional emails on our behalf.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

EkoVendy uses browser local storage to remember your shopping cart for up to 7 days. We use authentication cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order records are retained for a minimum of 3 years for financial compliance. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us — note that order history may be retained as required by law.

6. Security

We use Supabase for data storage with row-level security, HTTPS for all data in transit, and Paystack for PCI-compliant payment processing. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong unique password for your account.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements).

8. Changes to This Policy
